Founded in 1952 by Joe and Catherine Brady, Brady Nursery was built on a simple but powerful mission: to beautify Wichita and the surrounding communities through quality plants, expert guidance, and exceptional service. That mission continues today under the leadership of their children — Pat, Mike, and Cathy — alongside third-generation leader Steven Brady, who is helping guide the nursery confidently into the future. None of this success would be possible without the dedicated, long-term employees who share the Brady family’s passion and the loyal customers who have supported the nursery for generations. What began as a family vision has grown into one of the region’s most trusted and established names in the green industry.

What truly separates Brady Nursery from other Kansas nurseries is our field production division. While many retailers source trees from across the country, we grow thousands of our own trees right here in south-central Kansas. For three generations, we’ve refined what works — and what doesn’t — in our soil, our wind, and our extreme temperature swings. Joe Brady said it best: “If you want to sell the best trees, you have to grow them yourself.” Every winter and early spring, our crews dig, pin, and transport locally grown trees that are hardened by Kansas weather and proven to perform in Kansas landscapes.

Because we grow what we sell, we control quality from the ground up. We know the root systems. We know the genetics. We know how they’ve been pruned, spaced, and cared for. That knowledge translates into stronger trees, better establishment, and long-term success for our customers — something no out-of-state supplier can replicate.

Aaron Slone has 20+ years in landscaping. He began with Brady Nursery in 2014 bringing extensive experience in management, logistics, design and installation. As the Landscape Operations Manager, Aaron prides himself on fostering integrity, trust, organization, accountability and safety among employees in order to achieve high-level customer satisfaction.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys cheering on his 3 kids with their extracurricular activities, sports, traveling, kayaking and fishing alongside his wife Tara.

Adrien Ouellette has been in the landscaping industry for 20 years and graduated from Wichita State University in 2013 with an entrepreneurship degree. He worked for a small family run tree and landscape company where he gained real world, industry experience before joining Brady Nursery in the Spring of 2023. Adrien leans on his 20 years of industry experience to design and create illustrious landscapes based on specific clients wants and needs. He is detail oriented and takes in pride in every project he is apart of.

When Adrien is not at work, he enjoys spending time with is beautiful wife and two daughters. He loves chasing his little girl around and volunteering to coach his oldest daughter’s soccer team. Adrien also likes spending time in his own gardens where he becomes his own landscape designer and installer.

John Williams is a dedicated landscape designer with a strong background in outdoor project management and design installation. He began his career at Brady Nursery in 2018 as a landscape foreman, where he quickly built a reputation for his leadership, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Through hard work and expertise, John advanced into the role of landscape designer, creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces for a wide range of clients. Outside of his professional life, John enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid golfer and fisherman, often taking advantage of his free time to relax on the golf course or out on the water.

Kyle Robinson graduated from Wichita State University in 2011 with an accounting degree. As our Office Administrator, Kyle ensures that our office runs smoothly by managing office procedures and administrative duties. Kyle oversees estimating, billing, accounts receivable, insurance, and everything in-between. Kyle enjoys the fast paced, challenging, yet friendly office environment at Brady Nursery and is always willing to go above and beyond to help the customer with any questions or concerns they may have.

He loves spending time with his wife and four children and enjoys watching them in all of the various sports and activities that they are involved in.

Ethan Wilson has been employed with Brady Nursery since the Spring of 2019 and is a Kansas Certified Nurseryman. Ethan began working at the nursery as a general laborer, completing various tasks when called upon. His hard work and dedication helped land him the Nursery Manager position, where he currently oversees retail staff members. Ethan excels in helping customers at the nursery and often goes out of his way to ensure every customer’s experience is memorable. Ethen also handles nursery sales and ordering of plant material for the nursery and landscaping projects.

On the occasion Ethan is not working, he enjoys playing various sports and hiking. He loves to remain active. Ethan also makes sure to enjoy his downtime by playing video games.

Steven Brady is a third-generation nurseryman proudly helping lead Brady Nursery into the future. He began working at the nursery at just 13 years old, learning the business from the ground up and spending his afternoons riding to job sites with his father, Pat Brady, asking a million questions and developing a deep love for horticulture. After high school, he went on to study horticulture at Kansas State University, building on the hands-on knowledge he had gained growing up in the family operation. Having learned two generations of lessons from his father and his Uncle Mike Brady, Steven now oversees tree production while also managing inventory and operations, providing business leadership, hiring and developing team members, and serving as the go-to problem solver — if there’s an issue, Steven tackles it. A past president of the Kansas Nursery and Landscape Association, he has worked to strengthen and support green industry professionals across the state. Passionate about the outdoors since childhood, Steven enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping, and finds daily inspiration in the interconnected natural world and the wonders of God’s creation. With gratitude for the legacy before him and optimism for what lies ahead, he looks forward to the day he celebrates the nursery’s 100th anniversary, continuing to grow something that will last for generations to come.
